I
am a 39-year old male. I am in good health and have been married
for 11 years. When I have sex with my wife, there are times when I
am unable to maintain an erection. Am I too young for Viagra?

You say that you are able to get an
erection but at times are not able to maintain it. That is
actually a sign that your sexual apparatus is working normally but
that anxiety or fatigue is getting in the way. You are not too
young for Viagra but it would be helpful to discuss this with your
physician to see if you suffer from clinical depression, which
kills sex drive and can cause erectile difficulty. Depression can
exist in a person who feels and exudes health. You say you are in
good health. I trust that your diagnosis is based on medical
evidence and not on your own self-assessment. The first thing to
do is to rule out any physiological roots to your problem, such as
depression, low testosterone or diabetes by seeing your medical
doctor. If you check out fine, then make an appointment to visit a
sex friendly counselor or sexologist to get some practical help on
learning to relax or on possibly going deeper into your personal
life to see where the problem lies. You are not alone in your
difficulty with losing erections. Think positively. Often times it
is simply a matter of re-programming the mind. - Answer
