Ask a Sex Therapist

I am a 31 year old woman, who is sexually active. I seem to have a problem with orgasms. I have foreplay all the time before having sex to get me stimulated. My partner knows where all my spots are and it feels wonderful. I get very aroused and feel that I am about to  orgasm, then for some strange reason, I can't fully orgasm and the feeling goes away. I can't understand why this is happening. Can I have something like a mental block that is stopping for me to orgasm? I need help in this, because it is driving me crazy.

It is tempting to offer a simple solution for this issue, but there is none. No magic potion or pills or behaviors for all. This is a therapy issue and I respectfully suggest a few sessions with a female sex therapist. If this alternative is not available to you, you may want to explore some of the videos or books on the topic of female inorgasmia. - Answer provided by Tim Britton, Ph.D., AASECT, ABS, timbritton@yahoo.com.
