I have recently
gone the route of trying to improve my sex life. I have quit
smoking. I have gone to a dietician to recommend a strong diet. I
exercise 3 days a week. I can gain an erection while masturbating,
however, as soon as I release my penis, I go soft. The same occurs
during sex. Is there any exercise, food or thought process I can
implement into my life that will allow me to maintain a strong
erection?
Firstly....an
erection isn't necessary for ejaculation. Your concerns about your
erection may contribute to erectile issues. Get your family GP to
refer you to a good urologist for a consult and make sure the
"equipment" is in good shape. Next step should be to locate a good
board certified sex therapist for a few therapy sessions. Good
success! - Answer provided by Tim Britton,

I acknowledge
you for working on improving your health and sex life. Most men
are sometimes unable to maintain an erection at some point in
their lives. I recommend you take the focus off of intercourse and
focus on other activities such as oral or manual stimulation.
Anxiety can be a major contributing factor to your inability to
maintain an erection. You need to relax and enjoy the sensations
and at the first sign of anxiety stop and return to a point where
no anxiety was present. Eventually this process will help you
maintain a strong erection. In addition you can visit a medical
doctor and try one of the erectile dysfunction medications.
